Course Overview

Arthritis comes in many shapes and forms, and impacts a medical or pharmacy practice in many ways. From autoimmune specific conditions where the body will attack itself, to conditions from general wear and tear via lifestyle activities such as golf, tennis, running and bicycling.

Conventional treatments have their limitations; from autoimmune supporessors to the increased risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease from popular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID’s.)

There is an integrative approach to arthritis and inflammation, bringing together the best of age-old wisdom and modern-day discoveries.

Robert Kress, RPh

Robert Kress, graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia PA in 1994.

After realizing the need for a balanced approach between natural and allopathic medicine, Robert, with his wife Amy, opened their own compounding and nutritional pharmacy, which blossomed into a complete wellness clinic housing other integrative practitioners.

During this time, Robert became board certified in clinical nutrition through the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board, trained as a compounding pharmacist through the Professional Compounding Centers of America, certified in Quantum Reflex Analysis, a practice of kinesiology, Reiki, auricular acupuncture, and most recently, a Certified Primal Health Coach.

Currently, Robert consults with patients to enhance their health through lifestyle medicine as well other practitioners to help integrate, promote and implement natural medicine in their practices. Robert also provides workshops, presentations, and writes regularly on the topic of lifestyle medicine and integrative care.

Robert believes as pharmacists, we are offered the perfect opportunity to integrate natural medicine into our practices, as its core to the history of pharmacy. Patients are looking for natural solutions for their health, while practitioners are looking towards integrative care to help solve their client’s problems and enhance their practices.
